- Social Health-Care Assistant Program is dedicated to candidates who are intended to be members of the community that are selected by this community of health community or Institutions that provide basic health services in their communities for the provision of health services and medical support to these communities. Social -Health Care professionals’ professional duties may include health promotion tasks and healthy eating tips. Social Health Care Professionals also, in rare cases, provide direct health services, such as first aid and some types of screening. Social Health Care Worker is a health professional in the field of Public Health who applies a personal understanding of the professional language and / or culture experience in the community he or she serves, carrying at least some of the following roles:
- Inauguration / mediation between community individuals and the health system and services.
- Providing health education and information according to accepted cultural norms.
- Ensuring people (community members) will receive the service they need.
- Offering direct services, including informal information and social support.
- Advocacy and lobbying for the health needs and needs of individuals and the community at large.
- Upon successful completion of this professional program the candidate will be able to:
- Treat mild illnesses, care for pregnant women and children.
- Be involved in family planning services.
- Promote station and hygiene.
- Screening for communicable diseases.
- Carry out various health promotion activities.
- Collect statistical data.
- Maintain health records and provide health care.
- Candidates acquire the knowledge, skills and aptitude for taking temperatures, pulses, respirations, and weights of patients while observing, monitoring, and recording their conditions
- Successfully communicating with patients, family, and carers
- Assisting with clinical duties
- Infection prevention and control, food, personal cleanliness, and overall reassurance, comfort, and safety are all part of personal care that the student will be well informed and trained on.
- Supporting patients’ mental, physical, and nutritional well-being.
